The plain-language terms for using this website.

These terms explain, in plain language, what you can expect from this website and what we ask of you when you use it. These Terms apply when you use thiswasforyou.org.

What this website is

This Was For You provides faith-centered encouragement — videos, written devotional content, and downloadable resources. It is encouragement, not professional advice. Our Disclaimer explains this fully, and it's part of these terms.

Our content

Unless otherwise noted, the This Was For You name, logo, original written content, and TWFY-created resources are owned or controlled by This Was For You or used with permission. You're welcome to share links to our pages and content. Please don't copy, republish, resell, or redistribute our content or resources as your own.

Free and purchased resources

Free downloads (like the 30-Day Devotion Guide) and purchased digital resources are for your personal use. Print them, write in them, live in them — that's what they're for. Please don't resell them, redistribute the files, or upload them for others to download.

Purchases are made through our Etsy shop, RebuildersCreative, and are handled under Etsy's terms and policies, including anything related to payment, delivery, and refunds for those orders.

Email signup

When you request the free guide and confirm your email address, you'll receive the guide and TWFY email through our email service, Kit. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Links to other places

This website links to services we use (like Etsy, Buy Me a Coffee, Kit, and Facebook) and may link to other outside resources. We don't control those sites, and their own terms and policies apply when you're there.

No guarantees

We work to keep this website and its content accurate and useful, but we do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Third-party websites and services linked from this site operate under their own terms, policies, and availability.

Changes

We may update these terms as This Was For You grows. When we do, we'll update this page and its effective date. Updated Terms will apply from the effective date shown on this page.
